New York – November 2011 – Lee & Stone is representing a private equity backed manufacturing company in a complex business dispute involving a North Texas project. Lee & Stone engaged to register multifamily office with the SEC

Dallas-November 2011 – Lee & Stone has been engaged to register a Dallas based multifamily office with the SEC. Dodd Frank now requires advisers to multifamily offices with more than $100 million under management to register under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. This engagement further underscores Lee & Stone's expertise in both family offices and SEC registration and compliance.

Lee & Stone engaged to register private equity firm with the SEC

Austin-November 2011 – Lee & Stone has been engaged to register an Austin, Texas based private equity firm with the SEC. This new client advises a fund of funds and is the sponsor of co-investment vehicles that invest alongside national private equity firms. Dodd Frank now requires firms that solely manage private funds (which include funds of funds and private equity funds) with more than $150 million in the aggregate to register with SEC under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. This engagement highlights Lee & Stone's expertise in both private funds and SEC registration and compliance and the firm's increasing presence in the Austin market.

Lee & Stone affiliate achieves liquidity event

Dallas – October 2011 – A Lee & Stone affiliate closed the sale of its interest in a compliance consulting company. The Lee & Stone affiliate had launched the business, together with its partner, in July of 2010 in an effort to capitalize on the growing demand for Dodd Frank compliance consulting services. The business advised clients with aggregate AUM of over $9 billion as of the time of sale. The launch represented another example of Lee & Stone's efforts to offer its targeted clients with additional services, and the successful exit for the firm's affiliate and its investors underscored Lee & Stone's accurate recognition of the market need for the company's services.

Dallas - November 2010 – Lee & Stone submitted a comment letter to the SEC regarding the family office exemption under Dodd-Frank.
